Great Danes are Great!

Baby and Misty

Baby was one of several Great Danes I had the pleasure of knowing over the years. She is a major player in the story Saving Papa’s Tales. As anyone that connects with dogs knows, canines have tremendous empathetic powers which can teach much to us mere humans.

And don’t get me wrong, other breeds are great as well. Being a dog whisperer I have worked with many breeds; too many to mention. However, those that have had Great Danes in their lives, know how special they are.

Another significant Great Dane of mine was named Misty. She was a Blue Merle and she was my only companion when I spent 3 months, during a very cold Winter, on a self-imposed isolation from drug use. But, more about that in my second book called Staying Stoned.

I am interested in all my fellow Great Dane owners’ stories. Perhaps there is a compilation of short stories that could become a book. It has been said that anyone can be a writer and there is at least one good book in all of us.
